Humans of City Furniture: Keith Allen

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]Fame first came calling for Keith Allen when he made MTV’s Making The Band seven years ago. But the talented R&B singer and single father of two declined when he learned the show meant leaving his kids and moving to Atlanta. Against the advice of P. Diddy himself, he stayed with his operations job at City Furniture, and instead focused his entertainment passion on forming the local dance crew Fatality. Recruiting young men and women off the street, his crew quickly started getting noticed and booking gigs with Flo Rida, Pitbull, and Doug E. Fresh. This September, they are flying out to Los Angeles to audition for American’s Got Talent. And now, seven years after turning down a potential singing career, Keith also has an album in the works—proving that sometimes, sacrifice does pay off. His kids are older, the timing is right, and he’s already got almost 1,300 fellow City Furniture Associates to call fans.[/dropcap]
